I served in the United States Navy from 1993-1997, as an Avionics Technician 2nd Class Petty Officer, where I received the Navy Achievement Medal, a Letter of Commendation, and multiple Letters of Appreciation. After leaving the Navy, I started my IT career, as a entry level network support technician, where I obtaining numerous industry certifications, and quickly moved into a role as a national practice Director. In 2001, starting my own business, HealthGuard, and began providing cyber security services to hospitals. I am currently a Healthcare and Public Health Sector Chief for the Greater Cincinnati Infragard Members Alliance, and a member of the DHS Healthcare Sector Coordinating Council. I am an active member of Information Security Security Association (ISSA) and Information Systems Audit and Controls Association (ISACA), holding the ISACA CRISC and Open Group's Open FAIR certifications.
