Dr. Anne Dabrow Woods is the Chief Nurse of Wolters Kluwer’s Health Learning, Research, a board-certified acute care/critical care nurse practitioner for Penn Medicine, Chester County Hospital. She also serves as adjunct faculty in the graduate nursing program at Drexel University and precepts nurse practitioner students. Woods is also the publisher of the American Journal of Nursing and oversees the evidence-based practice product suite from Joanna Briggs Institute, where she is responsible for setting the nursing and evidence-based strategy.
A nurse for more than 32 years and a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in adult primary and geriatric acute care since 1998, Woods’ expertise includes implementing evidence into practice, acute care, critical care, and primary care.
Woods speaks globally on many clinical topics including using the best available research evidence and technology to improve practice, patient outcomes, and global health. Having received a BSN from West Chester University, an MSN from LaSalle University, a Post-Master's Certificate from Drexel University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Texas Christian University, Woods has received numerous awards for writing, research, and publishing, and was inducted into the American Academy of Nursing as a Fellow in 2016.
