Andrea Mancaruso is Vice President, Enterprise Infrastructure and Architecture Design at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia, Penn. She is responsible for the long-range direction of the organization's technology function. She directs the strategic design, acquisition, management and implementation of an enterprise wide technology infrastructure.Ms. Mancaruso is responsible for building and mentoring a high performing teams and structure to enable effective, efficient, disciplined business operations of Jefferson's fast paced innovative IS&T organization. This includes development and execution of a vision for the design, development and deployment of effective information infrastructure, technical resources, and foundational IT resources. Ms. Mancaruso is also responsible for the development and management of information security maturity in collaboration with operations, legal, compliance and human resource functions.
Prior to this role, Ms. Mancaruso served as Director of IT Operations at Jefferson, providing leadership for and direction over several key technical and client support groups within the IT department, including Infrastructure and Client Services. She worked with key partners and clients of the IT department, developing productive relationships and forging strategic service alliances with them. This includes clients and technical groups within the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, the TJU research community, plus TJU faculty, staff, and students.As Director of IT Operations, she also assisted the CIO in strategic planning, opportunities for meeting client needs, and strategic services development.
