Amanda Hyde completed her M.S. in Management and Leadership at WGU and has a B.S in Nursing from Tennessee Technological University. Amanda started her nursing career working in the Emergency Department and quickly found herself in leadership positions. She gained helpful insight into mentoring nursing staff when she took on a role as a Nursing Director for a post op surgical, orthopedic and pediatric unit. After many years as a Nursing Director, Amanda was greeted with an opportunity to create a new department called Clinical Informatics that worked with the Information Systems Department. Other nursing experience includes Ambulatory Surgery, Endoscopy, and Hospice. Prior to working for WGU, she worked as Chief Nursing Officer for two hospitals.
