Allison L. Weathers, MD, FAAN, is the Associate Chief Medical Information Officer at the Cleveland Clinic, Information Technology Division. She spends her clinical time on the general neurology primary inpatient service. She completed her neurology residency at Rush University Medical Center and first became involved in clinical informatics over a decade ago. Dr. Weathers is a nationally recognized expert in the intersection of neurology and health informatics. She is vice-chair of the American Academy of Neurology’s Practice Management and Technology Subcommittee, the chair of Epic’s Adult Neurosciences Steering Board and she serves on multiple other AAN workgroups pertaining to the safe use of the EHR. Dr. Weathers has given a number of presentations on topics pertaining to the use of electronic health records, including at state and regional neurologic society meetings, American Academy of Neurology conferences and annual meetings, national Epic Users’ Group Meetings and webinars. She has also published on the use of the electronic health record by neurologists.
