Alan Perkins is a Principal with The Chartis Group. Alan has over 25 years of experience in healthcare delivery organizations, and has held a variety of operational roles, providing executive level leadership to achieve strategic initiatives. His areas of proficiency include large-scale organizational change leadership, healthcare system mergers and affiliations, PMO and IT governance, electronic health record implementation and value realization, eHealth, strategic planning, collaborative problem solving and process improvement.
Prior to joining The Chartis Group, Alan worked with University Hospitals Health System in Cleveland, Ohio, where he served as implementation PMO Director, Project Director and Divisional CIO for the UHHS’ enterprise Electronic Health Record. Alan’s experience also includes serving as Associate Vice President for Clinical Informatics for Houston Methodist. In addition to consulting, Alan previously worked in software development for IDX in Burlington, VT. Mr. Perkins holds a Bachelor of Science, Applied Science, in systems analysis from Miami University of Ohio (Magna Cum Laude). He also holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute.
