Adam Bedgood, MSN, RN is the Chief Nursing Officer of Morgan Memorial Hospital in Madison, GA. During the last 15 years, Adam has had experiences in multiple hospitals and as a flight nurse in metro Atlanta. He has spent the past 10 years serving in various management roles. Adam previously worked for 7 years as the Emergency Department Nurse Manager at Putnam General Hospital where he was able to establish the small rural hospital as the first critical access hospital in Georgia to become an accredited Chest Pain Center. Before that, he spent 5 years as a flight nurse and Clinical Base Manager overseeing a multimillion dollar life flight base in metro Atlanta for Rescue Air1/Omniflight Helicopters.
Adam received an M.S.N. from Western Governor’s University, as well as a B.S. in Nursing and B.S. in Health Education from Georgia College and State University. He is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum and Basic and Advanced Disaster Life Support. Adam is an instructor for Advanced Stroke Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He is a member of the Coverdell Stroke Registry, Emergency Nurses Association and GA Professional Stroke Alliance. Recently, Adam was appointed to serve as a member of Region 10 EMS Council representing the citizens of Morgan County.
Adam’s vision for Morgan Memorial Hospital is for exponential clinical growth in the areas of surgery, emergency medicine, inpatient medicine, and outpatient services utilizing best practices and evidence based medicine.
Adam lives in Morgan County with his wife and two children where they are very active in the community. He also serves locally as a volunteer firefighter with Morgan County Fire/Rescue Department.
