Transforming Healthcare Through Sustainable Incubation

10:45am - 11:45am Friday, March 13
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
W414C

Description

The increasing convergence of technology and healthcare has led to a proliferation of solutions that are addressing healthcare problems in new and different ways through technology. Identifying needle-moving opportunities and solving them in the best way is particularly difficult in the healthcare operational environment. Many factors influence the ability for technology to effectively drive innovation and results, and not all technologies or incubators are created equal in their ability to transform healthcare. Providence has borrowed from tech peers and built a sustainable, internal incubator within one of the nation’s largest health systems. By leveraging the power of a strong healthcare ecosystem and access to innovative providers, Providence has an advantage in deeply understanding the problems of health systems, providers, and patients, having exposure and access to new technologies, and understanding of the challenges of operationalization technology to help solve some of healthcare's largest problems.

Learning Objectives

  • Assess how to sustainably innovate within a healthcare environment and the value it can have in testing and scaling innovative technology
