Telehealth for Today’s Real-Time Health System: Value Through Platforming

1:30pm - 2:30pm Tuesday, March 10
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
W206A

Description

Virtual care teams offer a new way to reach the goal of getting the right provider to the right patient with the right information at the right time.  In an EMR world, harnessing the power of digitization creates opportunities to deliver the care collaboration, workflow coordination, and analytics insights clinicians increasingly need through the lens of platform informatics solutions. This session will explore connected telehealth solutions Philips is developing through the new Acute Care Suite (ACS) platform.  ACS provides tools and services that enable physicians and nurses to focus clinician attention on actionable data, share a coherent view of the patient status and care needs and work as an integrated virtual and bedside care team where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Associated strategies in healthcare platformization enabled through ACS including applications targeting clinical performance, AI, reporting, data visualization and aggregation present the broader ecosystem that will contribute to an enterprise telehealth model of care.

Learning Objectives

  • Compare and contrast tools available to clinicians to provide care that is more in tune with today’s physicians’ and patients’ needs
  • Analyze the needs of different users and the convergence of clinical and operational information
  • Discuss why connecting care venues is an effective approach in today’s health systems
  • Demonstrate how to bring data sets together for actionable insight and why it’s important
  • Illustrate how solutions like ACS can provide more expansive population health management
