Promoting Quality of Aging: Technological Innovations in Memory Care

11:15am - 12:15pm Monday, February 11
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
Extra Fee

Providing person-centered care with dignity and purpose to older adults is a goal in aging care; in memory care it is the essence of what caregivers do. To achieve this, therapies such as Reminiscence and Montessori methods have innovated this field. Recent memory care innovation has included technologies focused on music therapy, virtual reality and digital engagement therapy. Learn and explore how the paradigm of memory care is using technology to not only personalize care experiences but also support the family and caregivers with empathy and improved quality of life.
This session is part of a special program called Healthy Aging and Technology Symposium: Building a Digital Bridge to Transform the Aging Experience. Extra fees and separate registration is required.

  • Discuss what technology trends are re-imagining the care of those with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
  • Explain the array of technology supporting memory care staff, caregivers and family
  • Identify the growing opportunities to innovate memory care with technology
