Promoting Quality of Aging: Addressing Social Isolation

Many adults experience social isolation and loneliness as they grow older. Studies have shown that this increases the risk for both physical and mental illnesses. While there are a variety of factors that can lead to social isolation, technology can play a role to help mitigate these risks. This session explores real-world success stories that leverage technology to help re-establish social connections and diminish loneliness in older adults. 
This session is part of a special program called Healthy Aging and Technology Symposium: Building a Digital Bridge to Transform the Aging Experience. Extra fees and separate registration is required.
