NIST Privacy Framework: A Healthcare Guide

3:00pm - 4:00pm Tuesday, March 10
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
W303A

Description

In collaboration with public and private sector stakeholders, NIST has developed the Privacy Framework: An Enterprise Risk Management Tool, to help organizations consider how their systems, products, and services affect individuals, and how to integrate practices into their risk management processes that optimize beneficial uses of data while minimizing adverse effects on individuals’ privacy. After one year of collaborative framework development through workshops and open comment periods, NIST recently released V1.0 of the framework. In this session, learn from NIST leadership of the framework effort about what this tool is, and how you can use it in your organization today. Participants will work through a hypothetical use case exercise to practice using the framework in a healthcare scenario.nike
