Managing Populations With An Automated Clinical Risk System

Learn how California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) developed an automated clinical risk classification system used to inform placement of patient-inmates in the appropriate facility based on health care needs throughout their term. Discussion will include the development of an outpatient clinical risk model, the creation of a structured data warehouse to automate the risk score, and the clinical and administrative benefits yielded from the automation of the clinical risk classification system. Participants will also learn about CCHCS's change management strategies to promote successful implementation of its health care informatics operational reports and performance measures.
