Interoperability in Europe: From Shared Vision to Common Action

11:30am - 12:30pm Thursday, February 14
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
Hall F 9100| Interoperability Showcase | Theater

Description

Meet Alva, a traveller and a diabetic patient, and follow her travels across the Nordics in her hectic, everyday life where her patient data is available when needed at the point of care. Today a challenge, tomorrow a reality! With this showcase presentation we will address scenarios and spark discussions on how to enable patient freedom to live and act in national to cross-border open healthcare ecosystems by providing Nordic solutions and innovation. The case is supporting the EU eHealth project "Digital health and care" and Nordic Innovations vision "Nordic Health 2030", where the Nordics by 2030 will be the most sustainable and integrated health region in the world providing the best possible personalized health care for all its citizens. The EEHR exchange format is part of a bigger plan, one of many ambitious initiatives announced back in April 2018 as part of the Commission’s Communication: enabling the digital transformation of health and care in the Digital Single Market; empowering citizens and building a healthier society.
