Changing the culture of health professionals, a traditionally conservative cohort, is no easy task. But the Heart Institute, a facility linked to the largest health complex in Latin America, has moved the needle by creating an innovation center. The center established an internal transformation program for medical professionals through co-innovation projects with private companies and world innovation centers.
Some of the co-innovation projects have received international recognition, and in this session, attendees will hear about them, as well as the institute’s strategic plan for cultural transformation focused on health innovation, which includes training healthcare professionals and patients and improving organizational management based on new technologies and analytical data.
Key discussion points:
· Developing projects focused on patient safety and improved care.
· Incorporating clinical decision support technologies and improvement in hospital operational management.
· Generating new predictive health indicators aimed at the institution's economic sustainability.
