Information-Sharing: Addressing the Opioid Crisis

11:15am - 11:35am Wednesday, February 13
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
Hall D | Booth 7145 | Lightning Sessions Theater

Description

In 2016, opioid overdoses accounted for more than 42,000 deaths. It's estimated that approximately 40% of those deaths involved a prescription opioid. For its part in combating the epidemic, the Federal Health Architecture (FHA), an E-Government Line of Business initiative envisioned both a short term & long-term solution for accessing & aggregating prescription data from multiple states. We will explore the role data, technology, and information-sharing can play in easing this ongoing crisis.
