Increase Member Engagement by Offering Retail Convenience

1:00pm - 2:00pm Wednesday, March 11
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
W311E

Description

As commercial health plans, self-funded employer plans, and government agencies fortify their strategy for immunizations and other areas of preventive care, one opportunity to address this measure is to analyze the impact of leveraging an existing retail footprint as part of a patient-centric distribution approach. This session will present two case studies of how employers and commercial health plans have leveraged the clinical pharmacy services of a retail corporation, as well as key partnerships with immunization registry data providers, commercialization agents, and patient-engagement technology platforms to address targeted needs within their member populations.

Learning Objectives

  • Demonstrate how retail-driven distribution can remove friction and offer convenience and confidence to members in need of vaccinations and screening/testing
  • Apply engagement strategies and analytics data to increase uptake in adult preventive care
  • Identify potential pitfalls in designing a retail-driven strategy
  • Demonstrate the value of stakeholder engagement in a retail-based strategy: payer, patient, pharmacist
