Improving your Organization through Focused Team-building

6:00pm - 6:20pm Tuesday, March 6
Las Vegas - Venetian Convention Center
Level 2 | Titian Meeting room | Booth 8600

As Information Technology and Information Security have evolved from being a service bureau type department to a strategic component of the organization, the needs of the team have also evolved. Information Security, due to the large amount of data breaches and malware attacks, now commands as much attention as more traditional departments such as Public Relations and Marketing. As part of this, the staffing and team-building needs of Information Security organizations have changed. This discussion is aimed at bridging the gap between Human Resources, staffing firms, hiring managers, and executive management to set expectations on the team members we need to bring in to fulfill the elevated expectations of management. We will discuss what characteristics make great team members, what to look for, and most importantly, how to engage and retain them so that we can improve the rest of the organization at the same time. We will set new expectations and show that we can all collaborate to find the best people, keep them, and build bet
