Improvement of Quality Scores

10:30am - 11:00am Friday, February 15
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
W311A

Description

After joining an Accountable Care Organization and 13 managed care contracts, East Tennessee State University Family Medicine (ETSU) realized if they did not incorporate health information technology, we would not strive. ETSU needed to create better workflows, processes, polices, perform report integrity checks, and build custom databases in order to see significant movement. This presentation provides a roadmap and walks through the step-by-step Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycle they took to improve quality scores.

Learning Objectives:

  • Manage all patients equally regardless of insurance carrier to escalate productivity and decrease duplication
  • Discuss preventative health for patients while addressing quality metrics
  • Develop a plan that includes actionable items and feedback from all stakeholders
