A Health Data Platform to Unlock Actionable Insights

8:30am - 9:30am Wednesday, March 11
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
W304E

Description

Globally, an estimated 2,314 exabytes of healthcare data will be generated, growing year-over-year by 48%. Germany's largest AMC in Berlin has more than 146,000 inpatient and 694,000 outpatient cases per year, thus they produce many gigabytes of patient data per day. A few years ago, data from Charite patients were siloed, heterogeneous, complex and mostly unconsented for secondary use. Most importantly, the patient was not enabled. With the Health Data Platform setup by Charite, there was an innovative, AI-enabled platform created, which is patient-centric and secures all data all the time, complies to EU GDPR, continually accelerates the transformation of raw data to actionable insights and improves the quality of care provided across the clinical, medical, research, and biotechnology departments. This presentation outlines the strategy and architecture of the Health Data Platform. This is not a product from a single vendor, but rather a set of solutions, rules, processes, and approaches, which will be explained in this session.
