Future of Precision Medicine Platform in South Korea

10:00am - 11:00am Wednesday, February 13
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
W314B

Description

In this talk, I am going to discuss about two factors when Asian countries adopt US developed clinico-genomic data integration platform. Contents of talk is based on experience adopting Syapse in two characteristic situations: 1) Majority of Next Generation Sequencing is served based on Laboratory Developed Tests (LDT’s) and reimbursed by government, 2) Hospital Information System (HIS) does not follow C-CDA rule. The first factor that would be discussed in this talk includes factors to be considered while generating clinical data warehouse (CDW) system which could be served as a backbone for clinico-genomic data integration platform. The second factor I am going to discuss is clinically relevant report generation process of clinical genome analysis data using molecular tumor board running system.

Learning Objectives:

  • Share the experience of developing a clinical data warehouse (CDW) and designing a pipeline for data integration through the CDW
  • Discuss what is necessary to integrate various types of next generation sequencing tests in a clinico-genomic data integration platform
  • Recognize an Asian perspective on adopting international clinico-genomic data handling platforms
