Future of Precision Medicine Platform in South Korea

10:00am - 11:00am Wednesday, February 13
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
W314B

Description

South Korea’s medical system provides for next-generation sequencing (NGS) panel testing for all citizens, a first in the world. This is creating clinical data and genomic data sets for a large number of patients in a short period of time. In this second module of the Global Genomics Forum, engage with an Asian perspective on how to integrate NGS data with clinical data into one database, create treatment plans optimized for each newly visited patient, and lessons learned adopting international clinico-genomic data handling platforms.

Learning Objectives:

  • Share the experience of developing a clinical data warehouse (CDW) and designing a pipeline for data integration through the CDW
  • Discuss what is necessary to integrate various types of next generation sequencing tests in a clinico-genomic data integration platform
  • Recognize an Asian perspective on adopting international clinico-genomic data handling platforms
