Embracing Risk: One CIN’s Progressive Value-Based Care Success

8:30am - 9:30am Wednesday, February 13
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
W208C

Description

Despite growing awareness of the importance of value-based care (VBC), uptake has been slow across the country. VBC can be daunting for many organizations, particularly those with multiple locations and EHRs, as the data that enables higher quality and reduced costs is not easily aggregated across the network. The good news is that a more progressive approach to VBC grounded in a solid IT strategy can lead to impressive results. In this session, executives from Eastside Health Network (EHN) —a clinically integrated network with more than 1,300 providers, 185 practice locations, and two large health systems — will discuss their successful, progressive VBC approach. The presenters will share how EHN used technology to turn data into actionable information, and gradually take on broader VBC models — from incentive-based, to upside-only shared-savings, to higher risk/higher reward shared-savings, to a full capitation model.
