Delivering clinical education in today's fast-paced healthcare landscape has proven to be wrought with challenges. It takes more than a simple lecture for clinicians to gain an in-depth understanding on practice changes and to be able to modify their practice delivery utilizing the newly acquired technologies or protocols. In this session we will describe how we have been able to develop an effective approach to clinical education delivery that is meaningful to the learner through understanding the science of adult learning principles coupled with the intimate knowledge of clinical landscapes. Utilizing a varied approach from a thorough analysis of current state to didactic lecture delivered in incremental learning opportunities and video technology that captures the precise needs of the learners, we will demonstrate how these principles can have a profound impact on the learner being able to retain and immediately begin utilizing the newly trained concepts.
