Digitizing Mental Health Support Through Internet-delivered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (iCBT) Technology

8:30am - 9:30am Thursday, February 14
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
W303A

Description

The digital world is rapidly transforming the mental healthcare industry, and with the lifestyle needs and expectations of both consumers and behavioral health experts continuing to evolve, more and more people are realizing the potential for digital applications in the realm of mental illness treatment. Research shows that expert-developed digital tools, in combination with self-directed learning, can be very impactful in providing effective mental health support in easy, accessible and intuitive ways that best fit individual needs and lifestyles. iCBT programs combine the effectiveness of cognitive behavior therapy--a proven therapy treatment for mild to severe mental health issues--with the convenience of an online program to provide mental health support that is appealing to individuals who would otherwise not be interested in therapy.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify how iCBT technology can provide a better user experience and increase the likelihood of users successfully completing their therapy plan
  • Define the development of effective, clinically sound and accessible iCBT programs for mental health support
  • Recognize how behavioral health solutions that are delivered digitally have broad appeal for those eager to access non-traditional forms of treatment for mental health issues
