Description

HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) standards development is expanding to improve access to clinical and claim related data for all trading partners and in healthcare. The payer community is leading efforts to use FHIR to solve access, security and identity issues to maximize interoperability across the industry.  Several multi-stakeholder initiatives formed to accelerate how FHIR can best be used to unlock data and make it readily available at the point of care to improve outcomes and remove time burdens for stakeholders.  Two initiatives leveraging HL7 FHIR transports are, ONC FAST (FHIR AT SALE TASKFORCE) and the HL7 Da Vinci Project. Through this, consensus-based effort, these initiatives are creating essential use cases, guidelines, and implementation guides with the goal of removing barriers to FHIR scalability. This panel will discuss key components considered and being addressed, learnings, solutions/tools developed, how these initiatives coordinate, next steps and ways organizations and individuals can engage to help transform health data exchange.
This session is part of a special program called Interoperability and HIE Symposium. Extra fees and separate registration is required.
