Description

Merriam-Webster defines fluent as capable of using a language easily and accurately. The 2018 DoD Cyber Strategy stated that leaders and staffs need to be cyber fluent so they can fully understand cyber implications of their decisions and are positioned to leverage cyberspace to gain advantages. Recognizing opportunities to integrate cybersecurity into mission objectives provides opportunity to reduce an organizations attack surface and prepare for impacts. Organizations must manage operational risk against mission requirements. Finally, organizations must hold employees and personnel accountable for cybersecurity practices and choices. This panel session will provide attendees with a military healthcare perspective that spans IT and human factors in reducing risk to health information and information systems.
