Connected Care Policy and Coverage: What's Now, What’s Next?

Description

Implementation of policy that allows for use and coverage of evidence based connected care has kicked into a new gear.  This session will provide an overview of CPT codes available, Medicare coverage policy, and legislative initiatives to advance connected care.  Information on the new, 2019 initiated, Medicare coverage of chronic condition remote patient monitoring, virtual visits, and internet based interprofessional consultations will be covered.   The newly approved CPT codes for connected care will be outlined.  And, advances in Medicare telehealth coverage on end stage renal disease, stroke, and other initiatives will be discussed.
