Interoperability has come a long way and has provided our clinicians with much needed information to care for the right patient at the right time with the right information. Today’s panel will give you a personal perspective of how the right information improves the care of a beneficiary and ensures the right information is available to all levels of the chain of command.

Learning Objectives: 

  • Discuss the value of the data received from patients records in theatre which contributes to the discovery of best practices and new technology that will be used for the greater good
  • Recognize the benefits both for the clinician and the patient of having access to key information from all sources at the point of care
  • Explain what we as a community are doing well today and what are some of our shortfalls related to interoperability
