Clinical Optimization: Partnership, Success and Lessons Learned

Description

Carolinas HealthCare System embarked on a 3-year clinical documentation optimization project to improve the workflow of nurses. This session will describe a the journey through optimization; how they leverage data and analytics during the process; how coupling this work with other projects (such as with implementing Lippincott standardized procedures; automating c. Diff screening, using clinical decision support to identify deteriorating/sepsis patients) made an even bigger impact, and the development of a strong partnership that made it all happen.
