Changing the Face of Healthcare Leveraging Technology

10:00am - 11:00am Thursday, March 12
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
W300

Description

The inequality in healthcare is huge with regions like Africa bearing over 25% of global diseases burden but could only boast of less than 3% of global work force. This is reversed in the North America. Several efforts have been put together by bilateral organization but we all know that aid and donations are not sustainable. The good news is that exponential technological tools have proven to be a resource liberating force. If we can therefore begin to re-imagine healthcare and leverage on tech and IT tools that are becoming very ubiquitous, healthcare can be demonetized and democratized globally. Stakeholders globally must think in this direction to solve the damaging grand challenges of healthcare scarcity. Technology is a resource liberating force--this is proven all along memory lane. Aluminum was more scarce before the technology of electrolysis came, and today we now use it with throw away mentality. It was actually more expensive than gold before. This mind set will help us solve healthcare scarcity through technology and IT.

  • Share hands on experience about the decadence in healthcare in some specific countries and show how stakeholders can solve this in a more sustainable way moving away from aid and donation approach to trade approach using technology
  • Answer the questions that may be bothering the minds of tech solution and medical devices company who may be looking in that direct but do not have detail ideas of what to do
