Reinventing Organizations through Profound Digital Transformation: Lessons Learned from Across Europe

1:30pm - 2:30pm Tuesday, February 12
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
W308A

Description

Assistance Publique – Hopitaux de Paris (AP-HP) is the largest health facility in Europe.  With 39 hospitals in the Paris region, 100,000 employees including 20,000 doctors, 7.5 billion euros of budget, AP-HO faces strong economic constraints. This session’s speaker, Martin Hirsch, has initiated a profound reimagination of the AP-HP in which digital transformation has been integral. With a projection of cost reductions through the dematerialization of many processes, development of new process, the consolidation of several activities, particularly in medical-technical disciplines, and the deployment of a single patient file, as well as an increase in revenue through a consolidated health data warehouse, bioinformatics activity, new appointment services, and new telemedicine activities, AP-HP’s lessons learned provide guidance for health information and technology professionals across the globe.  Added to this, AP-HP's IS Department has begun a major reorganization to become a value-creating service center.
