Clinical decision support systems (CDSS) are being used successfully in acute care settings. Research designed to study the use and impact of CDSS in long-term care facilities are uncommon. Specifically, studies involving the use of CDSS to assess the risk of developing pressure sores in nursing homes are lacking. This study assesses the use of CDSS for risk assessment of pressure sores in nursing homes in the United States.
