Building an Analytics Ecosystem That Drives Performance

1:30pm - 2:30pm Tuesday, March 10
Orlando - Orange County Convention Center
W304A

Description

The vast amount of health data generated and stored in electronic health record (EHR) and other IT systems offers significant opportunities for advancement. Using analytics to interpret the data into actionable insights could help hospitals streamline operations, improve performance, reduce burnout, and increase the direct impact on patient care. However, capturing, analyzing, and sharing health data with decision makers across an organization is difficult and expensive. In this session, executives from two different institutions in opposite ends of the country will discuss their unique approaches, success factors and challenges in creating an analytics culture to harness data into insights, improvements, and realize a ROI.

Learning Objectives

  • Contrast two organizations’ successful strategies for building an analytics platform
  • Analyze approaches to leveraging data analytics to drive improvements in EHR adoption, clinical documentation, and performance
  • Discuss IT and data governance models, and how they have an impact on the data-driven approach to healthcare success
  • Work with real-time financial, clinical, operational data points, and analytics tools to create actionable solutions that can be applied in your healthcare organizations
