Patient safety is a complex and growing challenge that can lead to poor outcomes for patients and higher costs for all across the healthcare ecosystem. Medical error is now the third leading cause of death in North America. Examining the supply chain infrastructure in clinical settings as a tool will offer transparency that identifies the best outcomes for patient population segments while identifying the conditions (i.e., care pathways and resources) that these outcomes can be achieve.
