This session will examine some of these tools, such as 360 video and virtual reality, that can change the patient experience by creating an immersive environment that can refocus the patient and lessen the fear.

Focusing on the 360 video that we developed at Moffitt Cancer Center, attendees will hear show how it help newly diagnosed cancer patients come to the clinic virtually before their first scheduled appointment and review the lessons we learned.

Speakers will review our research plan to analyze the impact of the 360 video for our new patients in terms of decreasing their anxiety, improving their experience, and increasing their engagement. They will also discuss the future of immersive media in healthcare.
