Open source data tools can help healthcare organizations achieve actionable insights and improve health outcomes without sacrificing rigor.  In this session, we will survey free and open source tools that can be used in each phase of a typical data science and analytics project lifecycle: data governance (data catalog), raw data ingestion and transformation; data profiling and quality assurance; data modeling and visualization; and model deployment and maintenance.  As a case study, we will use these powerful tools to analyze social determinants of health (SDOH) risk data and identify opportunities for intervention.
