Nationwide non-profits like the eHealth Exchange network and Carequality framework are closing the health IT interoperability gap, with nearly all EHR vendors able to connect and more than 50 percent of all physicians enabled to share data today. To further drive connectivity in America, the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) awarded The Sequoia Project a cooperative agreement to serve as the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA) Recognized Coordinating Entity (RCE) to implement the vision for a “network of networks” providing doctors with a “single on-ramp” to share patient records. Speakers will discuss the scope of the TEFCA progress made by the RCE in collaboration with the ONC, and what physicians can expect next. Opportunities for physician engagement and input will be presented.
