The development of innovative telehealth curriculum, across interprofessional disciplines, enables the advancement, adoption and integration of telehealth technologies across domains. By focusing on a team-based approach to education and practice, within undergraduate and graduate health professions programs, faculty have established curriculum competencies that demonstrate knowledge gain. Thirteen semesters of data have generated best-practices on the provision of introductory, interprofessional education aimed at empowering a new generation of providers to deploy telehealth processes to better meet the needs of their patients and communities, while supporting their careers. In addition, learners utilize lifelong learning principles to employ next generation technologies and inform evolving health informatics policies. “Telehealth Teams of the Future," as the course is titled, continues to be a key strategy in the development of successful statewide telehealth programs.
