A hospital’s network infrastructure is critical when adopting innovative technology to improve clinical and business outcomes. Investing in a modern infrastructure must be a strategic IT initiative to achieve digital transformation and improve care through new applications and devices, reduce cybersecurity vulnerability, and minimize ongoing costs. To develop this strategy, organizations should look to the HIMSS INFRAM model that provides benchmarks to help build a stable, manageable, and extensible infrastructure that enables the smart health system of the future. This session will examine infrastructure effectiveness for a modern hospital through the INFRAM lens, including a real example from OSF HealthCare who implemented a simple, efficient, and automated network to maintain their leading reputation for their growing ecosystem. OSF has been nationally recognized for its innovation efforts, including being ranked as a top 10 innovation center in the U.S. with their mission to re-invent the health care delivery system of the future.
