Healthcare leaders recognize the promise and potential of precision medicine in the delivery of care but few have deciphered how to implement a meaningful precision medicine strategy. Murfreesboro Medical Clinic and SurgiCenter has achieved success with a program that makes pharmacogenomic information readily available and meaningful at the point of care. Nicholas Cote, DO, will outline MMC’s strategy, and share stories about improved patient outcomes – and reduced provider burnout. He will cover the HIT infrastructure implemented to ensure genomic data is ingested and integrated with clinical information, so providers can easily access it as they make medical decisions. He will discuss lessons learned, key technology considerations, workflow best practices, and feedback documented from both patients and providers.
