Using data and digital engagement to help manage – and prevent – chronic disease, has the potential to improve the lives of millions of people across the country. Dr. Stephen Friedhoff, Anthem, Inc.’s Chief Clinical Officer, will illustrate innovative approaches for using data and predictive analytics to better support and improve health outcomes in areas such as: the prevention and treatment of opioid-use disorder; management of diabetes; and, reduction of avoidable hospitalization following chemotherapy. This session will also highlight how our ability to integrate personalized, predictive insights with the “human” side of healthcare – through physicians, nurses, and case managers – is critical to providing whole person care and improving the well-being of consumers.
