Here are some tips to help you arrive prepared – and to assist you on-site – so that you can maximize your time in Orlando.

Before you go…

  • Establish your objectives. What do you want to accomplish at the 2020 HIMSS Global Health Conference? With 300+ education sessions spanning 24 topics the HIMSS Global Health Conference has something for everyone. Start planning your educational experience now by reviewing the topics that interest you most.

  • Plan your continuing education credits.  The HIMSS Global Health Conference is an excellent opportunity to earn continuing education credit. View CE credit accreditation statements here.

  • Attend an orientation webinar. Learn how to optimize your time onsite and get other helpful attendance tips. The webinar takes place 7-10 days before conference. Invitations are sent via email in February. .

  • Take advantage of social media. Use Facebook and Twitter to network with other attendees before you leave for Orlando. Identify potential contacts and collaborators, schedule working lunches and dinners before and after the conference, and more.

*Full Conference Registration does not include optional education and networking events, such as Preconference Symposia, Forums, Specialty Programs, Special Events as noted, Awards Gala, or Thursday Night Special Event at Universal Studios.  These optional events can be added to your registration during the online process. 


While you’re there...

  • Pick up your badge before you get to the Convention Center. Badge pickup will be available at the Orlando International Airport (MCO) and several Orlando hotels (including the Hyatt Regency Orlando, Hilton Orlando, Caribe Royale, Rosen Centre and Rosen Plaza).

  • Attend an in-person orientation session. Join HIMSS staff for a Conference Orientation on-site and get answers to your last-minute questions. Sessions will take place on Monday, March 9, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EST, and Tuesday, March 10, 10:30 am - 11:30 am EST.  An About HIMSS Orientation session will take place on Tuesday, March 10 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EST.  Attend this session to get an overview of how HIMSS globally transforms health and healthcare through the best use of information and technology – and how you can get involved.   • Still have questions? Visit one of our Information Desks on-site, or stop by HIMSS Spot any time to chat with HIMSS staff experts and other attendees. 

  • Go mobile. Get the latest information on educational sessions, exhibitor listings, floor maps, networking opportunities, headline news and more with the official HIMSS Global Health Conference Mobile App. The mobile app will be available in February.

  • Explore the maps. Reference maps in the on-site pocket guide and throughout the conference center to navigate your way to education sessions, the exhibit hall, networking events and more.

  • Wear your conference badge on-site. Be sure to wear your badge at all times during the HIMSS Global Health Conference – but be sure to take it off when you leave the convention center.

  • Use the shuttles. Take advantage of the complimentary shuttles that run between the convention center, official HIMSS hotels and the airport.
