HIMSS17 Call for Proposal Opens in May
The search is now on for those wanting to present educational content, and to review the proposals received, for HIMSS17, which will take place Feb. 19-23, 2017, in Orlando, Fla., at the Orange County Convention Center. HIMSS is looking for professionals in the field of health IT to share stories of how health information technology innovation is transforming the quality, safety, access and cost-effectiveness of health and healthcare in their environments.
The HIMSS17 Call for Proposals
Proposal submissions should demonstrate a case study approach on the adoption and optimal use of health IT and management systems
Proposals should explain:
- How IT is transforming the quality, safety, access and cost-effectiveness of health and healthcare
- What your health IT journey has taught you
- How your experiences are valuable to others
- How you have overcome challenges and obstacles
HIMSS17 Call for Proposals is open Monday, May 2 through Monday, June 13, 5 p.m. CDT.
“The HIMSS’ Annual Conference Education Committee (ACEC), consisting of 12 Board-appointed volunteers from all membership constituencies, facilitates the process of reviewing, selecting, and recommending compelling content that tells the story of optimal use and value derived from health IT,” said JoAnn Klinedinst, HIMSS vice president, professional development. “Each year, HIMSS’s Annual Conference offers up to 300 general education sessions that are selected from this peer-reviewed process.”
