Toria Thompson is a health information technology strategist focused on rapidly delivering value through innovative uses of technology to solve workflow and organizational challenges. During her 30+ years working with information technology, she has nurtured several startups to successful buyout. In the past 12 years, she has focused her efforts in the area of health care as CIO, Strategic Program Lead and as a subject matter expert in sensitive data exchange, image exchange, telehealth/telemedicine, integrated care and electronic records systems. Some of her previous healthcare clients include: Healthcare Policy and Finance (Colorado’s Medicaid agency), health information exchanges including CORHIO, Health Current and the Georgia Health Information Network, Colorado’s State Innovation Model (SIM) office, The Children’s Hospital of Colorado and a number of healthcare organizations focused on outpatient care. Toria has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh as well as experience with Agile and Lean Startup.
