Susan Tolin has over 20 years of healthcare experience in acute clinical practice, hospital administration, healthcare information technology, and strategic planning. She is recognized as a healthcare information clinical informatics expert with over 10 years of experience as a clinical workflow and documentation specialist, product clinical content developer, and super user. Her experience spans clinical informatics, population health management, meaningful use, and project management. She is focused on achieving optimal patient care and outcomes results while providing an excellent user experience through the use of information technology.
Susan’s consulting experience spans across multiple delivery organizations including acute care, and ambulatory settings, academic health systems and integrated delivery networks. As a registered nurse, Susan brings clinical credibility in the advisement of strategic healthcare organizational initiatives. Her vendor expertise is across multiple platforms including Cerner and McKesson.
Prior to joining The Chartis Group, Susan served as Product Manager for NVISIA, a software development and technology firm, and led a team that developed a vendor agnostic ONC-certified Meaningful Use and Quality Analytics tool. Services included providing strategic clinical informatics advisory services on projects including clinical informatics management, strategic planning, and meaningful use attestation across various health delivery clients including Advocate Health Care, Presence Health and Southern Illinois Healthcare.
Susan earned her Master of Business Administration, from Benedictine University of Illinois and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh, PA.
