Sidney Dixon comes to us from a diverse background. Originally trained as a physician in the US Army, Sidney left medicine and moved into the world of health policy and politics. He consulted with several state and federal legislative bodies on various health policy initiatives, including the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003 and the Massachusetts universal health care coverage signed by then Governor Mitt Romney. These initiatives led Sidney to develop an interest in health care IT and eventually led him to working at a large EHR vendor where he worked on several large implementations. From there he worked at Sutter Health implementing their EHR across their 26 hospitals. Sidney now works for ProHealth Care, an integrated delivery system outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as the Director of Enterprise Applications.
