Seth Jeremy Katz is the Associate Administrator of Information Management at Truman Medical Centers in Kansas City, MO, with oversight for strategic projects impacting the organization through HIM, IT and the Revenue Cycle.. During more than nine years with Truman, Seth has directed the transformation of Truman’s HIM department from paper-based to fully electronic. With that transformation, he helped create a culture that focuses on technological improvements and strives for innovative approaches to emerging issues like health information exchanges and patient portals. The HIM department was awarded AHIMA’s 2013 Grace Award in recognition for these efforts. Additionally, Seth served as Truman Medical Center’s ICD-10 program director and recently moved the CDI department under the HIM umbrella, expanding it's offering to better support the organization's bottom line. Outside of Truman, Seth was the 2015-2016 president of MoHIMA and is adjunct faculty for the HIM program at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
