Santosh Mohan is a health care IT industry analyst researching successful processes, management practices, and emerging innovations that enable the role of technology in health system transformation. He currently serves as the Chairperson of HIMSS Innovation Committee and a board member of HIMSS Northern California chapter.
Most recently, Santosh served as a Management Fellow at Stanford Health Care and has helped the organization achieve EMRAM Stage 7 inpatient and outpatient validations. He previously worked on technology-enabled innovation at Duke University Health System and Cerner Corporation and has subsequently served as a Senior Consultant and Director at The Advisory Board Company, providing best practice research, strategic advice, and operational insights to health system CIOs and executives on a variety of topics including patient engagement, EHR optimization, new IT-enabled care models, and workforce strategies.
Santosh earned his master's degree in business management and clinical informatics from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, where he received the leadership excellence award and was also named a Fuqua Scholar. He is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS) and holds a bachelor's degree in engineering and bioinformatics from VIT University (India).
Santosh was recently recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of 33 Health IT Wiz Kids with considerable industry accomplishments and he is this year's recipient of the HIMSS Founders Leadership Award.
