Santosh Mohan

Santosh Mohan is a health care IT industry analyst researching successful processes, management practices, and emerging solutions that enable the role of technology in health system transformation. Most recently, he served as a Management Fellow at Stanford Health Care and helped the organization achieve EMRAM Stage 7 inpatient and outpatient validations. He currently leads HIMSS’ national Innovation committee as its Chairperson. Previously, Santosh served as a Director and Senior Consultant at The Advisory Board Company, providing best practice research, strategic advice, and operational insights to health system CIOs and executives around the country on a variety of topics including patient engagement, EHR optimization, and new IT-enabled care models. Prior to the Advisory Board, Santosh spent nearly six years at Cerner Corporation, designing and building technology into business and clinical strategies to enhance care workflows and improve patient outcomes. His subsequent provider-focused consulting engagements at Stanford and Duke focused on ACO strategy and digital health. Santosh earned a master's degree in business management and clinical informatics from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, where he received the leadership excellence award and was also named a Fuqua Scholar. He is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS) and holds a bachelor's degree in engineering and bioinformatics from VIT University (India). Santosh was recently recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of 33 Health IT Wiz Kids with considerable industry accomplishments.
