As Offering Lead for IBM Watson Care Manager, Russell Olsen is responsible for creating the Cognitive Care Plan and establishing IBM Watson Health as a global market leader in care management. His orchestration of multidisciplinary teams including research, engineering, sales, marketing, and support has received rave reviews from clients. He has embedded behavior change concepts into the foundation of IBM Watson Health’s offerings and leveraged the latest technology to scale the reach of the care manager. Prior to his current position, Olsen was Vice President of Product Management at Phytel (which is now part of IBM Watson Health). In that role he delivered a market-leading population health solution. KLAS recognized Phytel with a "Best in KLAS" rating among population health management vendors two years in a row. With more than 10 years of experience in healthcare, Olsen holds a BS degree in electronics and information technology from Brigham Young University's School of Technology, is a certified care manager, and has expertise in the BJ Fogg behavior change model.
