Rebecca Meehan, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Health Informatics at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Dr. Meehan teaches Usability & Human Factors in Health Informatics, Inquiry & Assessment in Health Informatics, and Health Information Systems for the on-line graduate program. Trained as a gerontologist and medical sociologist, she has experience as a usability researcher and product manager for a software company. Dr. Meehan’s research centers on improving usability in electronic health records (EHR) and improving the user experience of health information technology in long term post-acute car (LTPAC) settings to improve the lives of older adults.
